Slideshow sorting error in lightroom

I have a problem when trying to sreate a slideshow in lightroom whoch continually rearranges the photos in the filmstrip whne creating a slideshow from a collection. Now the photos in the collection are not in a subfolder and are set to custom order in the library and slideshow. Here is the strange thing- when previewing the slideshow the order is correct but whenever the slideshow is created the order is changed. i have created a new colelction and re-added the same phots but have the same issue each time. Any help gratefully received- it is infurating..?

I am running Lightroom Calssic 14.1 on mac OS 14 sonoma

We're sorry for the Lightroom issue. We need more details to help you. 

Would you mind sharing the video recording of the issue? 

And are you using a Mouse or a trackpad?

 

Also, the Custom order option can change from folder to folder.

Thanks for the email. I have made a screen recording and attached it. The library files are set to ‘custom order’ in the library tab but still will reorder whenever I try to either create a saved slideshow or export directly to mp4. I have tried changing the file number for the pictures that are out of sync (they are later files) but this still does not work ?
 
I am using a laptop with a trackpad. Why would this make a difference?
 
Please let me know what you think is going on?
