Slowness in Lightroom Desktop (macOS)

After updating the program it seems very slow and glitchy.

I've had the same problem on two different laptops. Really bad lag on most of the sliders and the crop window. Even slow to switch between photos sometimes. I've tried adding photos individually and in large groups. I've even tried clearing all of my photots from lightroom and starting over. I have no other programs running on the machine.

Hi there,

 

Sorry to hear about the slowness and lag in Lightroom Desktop.

Which version of the application and macOS are you using? Do you notice the lag while performing a particular action? To confirm, you have started seeing the lag/ slowness after an application update. 

Would you mind sharing your workflow?
