Sony video import issue

I just bought a Sony a6700.

When importing photos and videos on Lightroom CC Windows version, everything worked as expected. Hit "Add Photo", choose the correct "Connected Devices". Then all photos and vidoes appear in the preview.

On Lightroom CC macOS, after selecting Add Photos, the USB drive, it shows "No Images can be imported were found". then I will have to click "Browse Computer", then navigate to

- DCIM folder for photos

- then USB drive > PRIVATE > M4ROOT > CLIP in order to see the videos separate.

On Lightroom CC iPadOS connected via a USB-C dangle with USBCcard, after hitting "Add Photos", if I choose "Connected camera/Card" it will only show photos in the next preview window.

I will have to choose "File", nagivate to the USB drive > PRIVATE > M4ROOT > CLIP in order to see the videos.

Anyone know a solution on the MAC side? this is very frustrating.   thanks

Hi @DXYMPG, thanks for the update. I’m really sorry to hear that the suggestions didn’t do the trick!

Let’s try one more thing: could you test if resetting your preferences helps? Here’s how you can do that: https://adobe.ly/4ouyOc7

If that doesn’t help, we can dig a little deeper. Could you share your System Info with us? You’ll find it in Lightroom under Help > System Info. Just copy it into a text file and attach it to your reply, or feel free to share it via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any other file-sharing service you prefer.

Thanks so much for your patience! 😊

Hi @DXYMPG, welcome to the community!

Could you check that your Mac has full disk access enabled? If that doesn’t help, here’s another step that’s worked for others with similar issues:

1. Open the Mac System Settings app
2. Go to Privacy & Security
3. Select Files and Folders
4. Find and expand the Adobe Lightroom entry
5. Turn off the “Removable Volumes” setting
6. Then turn it back on
Let me know how it goes, happy to help if you need anything else!

Thanks,
Alek

hi @Aleke thanks for the suggestions.

For #1, I do have full disk access enabled for Adoble Lightroom. See screenshot.

For #2, I am in the Privacy&Security > Files and Folders, I expanded it. but I don't see "removable volumes".  I did a google search, I see that it's supposed to show up here but it's not here.  My SD card is attached and I can see it in Finder. but no "removable volumes" in this particular place you pointed me to.
