Sort by edit time is faulty

Question

Sort by edit time keeps putting photos I haven't touched for months or years on top of the gallery. I have my gallery view set to sort by edit time from latest to earliest. Lightroom keeps adding photos I haven't even edited for several months or years on top of the gallery. It is very annoying.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
