Sort photos by Time Capture

I need to be able to sort my photos by Time Capture.  I will be using two different cameras on a multi-day trip and when I come home I would like them to all appear when they were taken not by the memory card they were shot on.

Hey, @lipscer09. Thanks for the clarification. In Lightroom Desktop (cloud), you can use the sort options at the bottom of the grid. 

 

For a more detailed filtering option, you can create a Smart Album in Lightroom with a few rules such as Capture Date & Camera.

A small catch with Smart Albums is that these currently don't sync to mobile.

Hi @lipscer09,

 

Great question! Here’s how you can sort by Capture Time in Lightroom CC:

  • Go to Grid View.
  • Tap the sort icon (next to the Views/Painter options).
  • Select Sort By > Capture Date.

Srishti I am assuming your response is for Lightroom Classic and not Lightroom Cloud.  I had someone from Adobe try to solve the problem and he said there is no workaround for the cloud version.
