Stacked Images added to album

Not sure how to word the Subject line.

I have a bunch of stacked images for merged panoramas. My intention was to add the merged image to another album which would be added to my Gallery, however, the entire stack always gets added, and so when viewed online in the gallery, all the component images display.

What am I missing?

For further reference, when I select the merged stacked image, and right click the choices include

Delete N photos...

Add 1 photo to Album

Duplicate 1 photo

The Delete N photos works as expected and clicking through deletes the entire stack.

Add 1 photo to Album is what I have chosen, but as stated, the entire stack gets added.

Duplicate does in fact duplicate the merged photo, however it adds it to the stack.

What am I missing?
