Stacking photos in LR 7.4.1. on Mac M2

I am using LR 7.4.1. on my Mac BookPro M2 with OS 14. 5 and I am trying for the first time to stack the photos in a directory.
When I enter the chosen directory, I select all the photos in it, but the program shows this stacking option, but grayed out as unavailable. This happens to me both in the right context menu, and in the “Edit - Stacks”.
Any suggestions?

Are you trying to stack photos in the Local tab? I don't think that option exists (yet) for local images, only for cloud images.

Yes, I was working in the local tab. However, another colleague working with LR for Windows could stack his images in the local tab, which upset me.

I'll try to do it in cloud mode and see what happens.

I think you remember that incorrectly. Maybe that colleague was using Lightroom Classic?
