Startup issues

On my personal computer, Lightroom won't open at all. It will open to the initializing phase, but won't go past the "reading preferences" before shutting down completely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice, changed file names, changed preferences, logged out of my Creative Cloud and logged back in, restarted my laptop...everything I can think of to change it. I have had Lightroom on this computer before and it worked without issue. I just downloaded it onto a family member's computer and it worked just fine. I don't know how to further troubleshoot this issue. All of my other apps work just fine.
