Question

Stops syncing without finishing

Hi,

I have enabled "Store a copy of all originals".
However, it does not finish. Synchronizes a bunch of pictures (500-2000, I think), and then seems to pause.

Steps taken:

Delete my entire profile in %appdata% to start over

Went to Lightroom on the web to delete old sync errors.

Any good ideas?

Hi @Raenil!

Could you share more info? Where are you storing the copies of the originals? Is it on an external drive or a NAS?

A workaround for now could be to use the Adobe Lightroom Downloader app to download all your synced Lightroom photos and videos to your computer.

Thanks!
Alek

Hi,

The downloads are stored in the default location (I asume) - "\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data"

Computer is windows 11 on newest update. Security software is windows defender.
I have created the diagnostics logs, but really don't know what to look after - it just seems to "Pause" - it still shows the sync animation and says that it is downloading, but it really has gone to a standstill. I've left it for many hours and it does not pick up again.
When i restart the application, it starts agan, and when this is done enough times, I'll probably have completed the download.

Hi @Raenil

Could you share your System Info with me? You can find it under Help > System Info. Just copy the info to a text file and attach it to your response.

Also, in Lightroom, take a look at the Deleted album. If you see any images with the blue spinning sync icon, you can permanently delete them. Let me know if that helps! 😊

Thanks, Alek
