How do I prevent my files (photos) from being stored in the "Cloud?" I only want them on my local external Hard Drive (6TB). I NEVER want them on the "Cloud."

How do I specify this when importing?

If you do not intend to use the Cloud then maybe Lightroom Classic would be a better option for you?

As the newer Lightroom CC is designed to store images online, it Is one of its fundamental principles and reasons for development.

As Sahil has mentioned, you can't prevent Lr CC from syncing your images to the cloud. However, if you choose to disable sync then it's essential that you also configure LR CC's 'Local Storage' preference so that copies of the original photos are stored locally.

Fwiw, I think you would be better served by Lr Classic as suggested by selondon.

    Hi Johnc,

As you do not want to sync the images, You can click the cloud icon on the top right corner to pause the cloud sync.
