Stuck on "checking free space on disk"

Lightroom will not upload photos. Gets stuck on "checking free space on disk". I have the newest version of Lightroom 6.5 I have uninstalled and installed again with the same issue. Lightroom Classic and Photoshop not having any issues. Its been having this issue for over a week now, not able to upload anything.

How many files, and what size are they, that you are 'uploading' to Lr?

How much in Terrabytes (or Disk %) is "plenty of space"?

 

And- Why are you uploading if you use Lightroom-Classic? 

Lightroom-Classic can automatically 'upload' (proxy) image files to the Cloud from Collections marked to Sync in the LrC Catalog, and they don't use any of your Cloud storage allocation.  SYNC SETUP IN CLASSIC

I forgot to add, I have plenty of space on my hard drive.
