Suddenly impossible to download any photo from Lightroom mobile on android

Until a few months back, I was able to simply select any photo from any album in the app and share-download or share-export to get it on my device. Then, I started getting the same error on every attempt. See screenshot. I let go and assumed the bug would be fixed and the problem would go away by itself... not so... Pls help

Note

-this happens with every photo, not just a few

-clearing the cache does not help

-reinstalling the app does not help

-yes, the device has ample storage left and is up to date

-I presume storage permission is ok, as there is no toggle

Seems people have ben having this issue since at least 2018??
