Switching from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic

I am unable to use .xmp file presets in Lightroom CC so I'm looking for solutions to converting them. I have never installed or used Lightroom Classic. What is the process for switching from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic? Will I lose all of my work, presets and edits or will it sync with Classic?

I am also unable to view the profiles option in Lightroom CC?

There is nothing to convert. Lightroom does use .XMP presets. How are you trying to get these into Lightroom?
