Switching Plans - Data Transfer?

I would like to change my plan to not include programs that I am not using (from photography to basic plan). The plan that I am switching to has the same storage space of 1 TB. When I make this change will my data remain, just with the new plan? I assume they will, but just want to make very sure I won't lose my thousands of photos that are in the cloud!
