Sync from mobile to Lightroom classic doesn't work

I have created a collection in Lightroom Classic. It has been synchronized to Lightroom for mobile. When I make a change to this collection in Lightroom Classic, it also synchronizes the change to the app. However, the synchronization does not work the other way around. I flagged a lot of photo's. These flags are not visible in the collection on Lightroom Classic. When I make an adjustment to the collection in the app, the change is not visible in the collection in Lightroom Classic. To test what the problem is, I downloaded the mobile app on my phone too. Om my phone the collection is synched immetiately, including the adjustments I made on my iPad

 

I have checked all the settings, and everything seems to be in order. How can I solve this problem? 

Both for Lightroom Classic as for the mobile app I have an Apple. Both are updated.

Have a look a Lightroom web (lightroom.adobe.com) and check the changes are showing there. While metadata going back to Classic is iffy (e.g. keywords), a quick test there with flags and ratings has them syncing back to Classic from Lightroom Web.
