Sync is disabled and states offline

using lightroom cloud 9.5 on mac tahoe 26.3.1.  Sync is disabled and states offline when trying to share folders.  I've logged out of creative cloud, LR and restarted mac.   uninstalled creative cloud, LR and reinstalled.   same behaviour

    When you click on the cloud icon (does it show a “Pause” icon), top right of the Lightroom screen, does it state “Syncing Paused”? If so, hover over that message and the “Resume Syncing” message should appear, clicking in that should resume full syncing.

    thank you for your reply.  It does not - it states “sync disabled”

    And if you hover the cursor over that message, does it reveal an option to enable or start syncing?
