Synching photos

I cannot figure out how to get SYNCH working again. I keep getting this message when I try to quit lightroom: 6062 photo are still synching with Lightroom. Do you want to shut down anyway or wait for synching to finish? I have had the computer on since Sunday (four days now) and nothing has happened. What do I need to turn on to finish synching
