Question

The application takes up a lot of space

Hello 🙂
I've been using LR mobile on my iPhone 14 Pro for some time now. Yesterday I noticed that the application cloud is occupied by 3Gb and the application itself takes up 20Gb 🙄 is there any way to reduce it???

Do you have any advice?

Ah, Lightroom itself suggests it isn't storing much locally at all. Whereas the iOS Settings do.

I believe the standard advice here is to firstly ensure that syncing to the Cloud is fully complete. (It may be worth checking at Lightroom Web also http://lightroom.adobe.com/)

Once that is checked, delete the app and reinstall will hopefully fix the storage issue.

I removed it and installed it again 🙂

So far it occupies 400 MB 👌

Thank you for your help and have a nice day ☀️☀️☀️

I'm coming back...🙊

As I remix another artist's photo several times a day, I started closely observing LR applications.
To my surprise, the space usage started to increase as soon as I started making the remix. Clearing the cache doesn't change anything. I don't know if it's supposed to look like this or is there any way to make the LR itself weigh the same while making a remix?🤔 🤔🧐 I don't save the data to my gallery, but it turns out that the program saves the remix in the phone's data🙄

Can anything be done about it? 🤔 🤔🧐 Is it only necessary to delete the application once a month and reinstall it?🤔 🤔🧐

Thank you in advance for your help on this topic 😀

You can trying clearing the cache by going to Lightroom's settings / Local Storage / Clear Cache.

This should purge any files that are already synced to the Cloud and/or haven't been accessed in a while.

The disparity between the 3GB in the Cloud and 20GB on the device suggests though that you have many files waiting to sync to the Cloud.

Could syncing be paused? Also, just checking what subscription  you have and how much Cloud storage that has?

Thank you for your answer 🙂
It seems that the synchronization has been completed, i.e. I have no information that anything is waiting for synchronization.

I have a plan with 40 GB of cloud storage.

I'm attaching screenshots and waiting for further instructions if you have anything else in mind to help me 😇

Unfortunately, clearing the cache didn't change anything 🙄
