The custom crop tool is badly distorting previously uncropped images in "versions."

The custom crop tool is badly distorting previously uncropped images in "versions." 
You have to click directly on a previous version in the list for it to un-distort. Just hovering 
over the previous versions no longer works and is the bug. 
This does not seem to happen if you crop uniformly at the same aspect ratio as your original image.
