The final result isn’t the same [exporting HDR images]

When I edit an image in the Lightroom app and save it to my camera roll, the result NEVER looks the same. Does anyone know why this happens?

I see you are editing in HDR mode.  Try saving as AVIF or JXL.  iOS should be able to display these well.  In my experience, if you export a HDR image as a JPG, the HDR info is recorded as gainmap metadata, and support for this varies more.  If you export as a DNG, iOS doesn't always render those the same as Lightroom/Adobe Camera Raw.

Hi @luismoor

Thanks for reaching out. To help troubleshoot, could you share a few quick details?

  • Version of the Lightroom app.
  • What file format are you using (JPEG, HEIC, etc.)?

  • What device and OS version?

This will help us figure out what’s going on.

Regards,

Srishti
