the lightroom keeps freezing up on me. I cant edit one photo!

i open lrc i try to edit and then it freezes up on me and wont load the edited image so i have to exit out of lrc and try to restart by reopening the program then it does it again. I can not get through one photo without it freezing on me!

Adobe's documented basic troubleshooting steps for freezes like this are worth working through in order:

1. Install the latest Lightroom update, plus the latest macOS/Windows updates.

2. Troubleshoot the graphics processor — update the GPU driver from the card manufacturer's website (Windows), or install all OS updates (Mac).

3. Reset Lightroom preferences: quit Lightroom, then relaunch while holding Shift+Option (Mac) or Shift+Alt (Windows), and click Yes when asked to reset preferences.

4. Start the computer in Safe Mode to rule out third-party extensions/utilities interfering.
