TIF metadata is not updating

I have a TIF filed edited in Topaz DeNoise AI that when I update the IPTC Content Title field, Lr clears it. I have a copy of that TIF file that I edited in Topaz Sharpen AI and the Title is not cleared. Why is my metadata not updating properly?
