Trouble Importing Custom Lens Distortion Correction Profile for YN50mm F1.8S DF DSM on Lightroom

Hello Adobe Community,

I am reaching out in hopes of finding a solution to an issue I’ve been experiencing while trying to import a custom lens distortion correction profile into Adobe Lightroom.

I am using a Yongnuo YN50mm F1.8S DF DSM lens with my Sony A7C II camera. Unfortunately, Lightroom does not natively include the lens distortion correction profile for this specific lens. Aware of this, I contacted Yongnuo support and they kindly provided me with the lens distortion correction profile file (.lcp).

However, I am having trouble importing this .lcp file into Lightroom. I have followed the online methods suggested, which include placing the lens profile into the following directory: /Users/(User Name)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0. Despite this, the profile still does not appear in Lightroom.

I have reached out to Adobe support, but they were unable to assist me in resolving this issue. I am now turning to this community, hoping that someone here may have encountered a similar issue or has knowledge on how to successfully import custom lens profiles into Lightroom.

Here are the steps I have taken so far:

1. Downloaded the .lcp file from Yongnuo.
2. Placed the .lcp file into the /Users/(User Name)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0 directory.
3. Restarted Lightroom.

Unfortunately, the lens profile is not appearing in the Lens Corrections panel under Profile Corrections. I am using the latest version of Lightroom, and my operating system is up to date.

Has anyone here successfully imported a custom lens profile into Lightroom? If so, could you please guide me through the process or offer any advice on what I might be doing wrong?

I would greatly appreciate any help or insights you could provide.
