trouble moving images between collections

Hello all...I'm using LR 6.  I dragged and dropped one image into a new collection.  But I can't move any more over.  I exited out of LR and rebooted but to no avail.  Not sure what's up.  Thank you for any help.

Please explain with more information.

Collections are 'Virtual'. They are only constructed lists of photos that you have stored in Folders.

You cannot 'Move' photos from a Folder into a Collection.

 

A common mistake (dragging to a Collection) is that you must drag by starting with the mouse cursor directly on the Thumbnail photo image, and not on the grey border.
