Trouble restarting LR on a new Laptop

Could you please share the version of Lightroom from Help > About Lightroom along with the operating system you are working on? Do you have access to the source/previous computer?

Before troubleshooting, we need to ensure everything is up to date and backed up on the cloud.

You can also log on to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) with your Adobe account to check current Sync issues on the left part of the screen.

If there are any sync issues, click on them to know more, find the originals for those images, and back them up safely before you empty the Sync issues from Lightroom Web.

On the new computer, if there is an anti-virus or firewall software that might be halting Lightroom's access to the internet or storage can also be a cause. Please try to disable them temporarily.

I am having a similar problem, but of the 10K photos I have in my Lightroom library, the new computer installation of Lightroom pulls in only 2200 and seems to think that's all of my photos.  The 2200 are random as to year, edited or not, etc. - no pattern, but the same 2200 are pulled in each time I use Lightroom. I thought the idea of the cloud was that my 10K photos were stored there and always pulled in no matter what computer I used.  Help would be most welcome! Thanks
