Please excuse my basic question but when I higlight multiple photos in Lightroom 5.5 may I apply a preset to all of the photos? When I shift-left click it hightlights the first photo and puts a grey boarder around the reamaing photos and does not apply the preset to the remaining photos. It applears I am not selecting the photos correctly to apply the preset to mulitple images. Help! THANK YOU!!!

You can't apply a preset to multiple selected images. However, what you can do is apply the preset to one image, then copy the settings of that image and paste those settings to multiple selected images.

So, apply the preset to the first image, then do Shift+Cmd+C to bring up the "Copy Settings" dialog panel where you can select the specific settings that you wish to copy for subsequent pasting to other images. When that's done, select the target images (you can do this in Grid view) then do Shift+Cmd+V to paste the copied settings to the target selection.

Thank you very much! That's very helpful.

One more question, when I do this and include the auto straighten feature, it applys the same correction to all the images rather than evaluating each image separately. For example, if -0.53 straightening is neccessary in the first selected image, then this is applied to all selected photos rather than applying the alogrithm to each image individually. Is there a way to have auto-straighten apply the alogrithm to each image individually as batch edit?
