Trouble with Apple Photos to Lightroom migration

Current MacOS version is Sonoma. Lightroom is version 7.0.

I am attempting to migrate my Apple Photos library to Lightroom (cloud version). All goes well until it hits the putting photos in albums stage. It gets stuck, the system says it is out of memory, and eventually crashes.

I have noticed that through the migration process the process VTDecoderXPCService consumes more and more system ram as the process moves forward. Once the system hits full ram (16gb in my case) + 40gb of swap it crashes the system.

I did try manually killing that process and letting it restart in an attempt to keep ram usage under control, but when I kill it the ram usage just moves over to a process called kernal_task and VTDecoderXPCService just starts growing again.

If I try to resume the migration in Lightroom after the crash it gets stuck at 30% (Marking catalog as migrated). I've let it sit at this step overnight and there is no progress.

I have also tried wiping my Apple Photos library file and letting it generate a fresh library from the cloud just incase something in my library was the issue.

I'm willing to do anything needed to help the team diagnose if needed.

Final update. It seems this is possibly caused by processing the thousands of little Live Photo videos. As soon as I deleted them all since I didn't want them cluttering my library the Ram usage fell to normal and I no longer had to restart Lightroom once an hour.

I've been working on this the past few days. Adobe support has been unable to help, basically giving me the run around. I'd love any ideas on how to solve this. The migration keeps getting to 95% then all the sudden the RAM usage just grows and grows until the system crashes. It seems like it is getting stuck on some process since it will progress to 95% at a normal pace and then get stuck and sit there while the RAM usage climbs.

I'd like to get this solved soon so I can decide if I want to keep the subscription or not. I've messed around with manual migration methods but getting albums and metadata moved over is proving to be a challenge outside of the built in migration process.

So just to update this. In case anyone else is hitting this issue. I finally got my library migrated by using someone else's Mac that had not been upgraded to Sonoma yet. Since I couldn't tie their computer up for 2 days for the upload I then moved the new library and files back to my computer to resume the upload.
Lightroom continues to spin up VTDecoderXPCService until it is using all the system ram plus 40GB of swap memory and the system crashes.
I guess I'll just keep closing Lightroom when it gets close to the limit and reopening it. That's kind of annoying.
