Question

Trouble with taking photos in Lightroom DNG

The problem is that when I look into the frame, the picture is normal in brightness, after I photographed overexposure in the editor

On the iPhone 8 everything is fine, but on the iPhone 13 there is such a problem

Hello @Мирослав23008581nnm8

I asked a developer about this, and the reason for this is the raw data captured on an iPhone 13 has a lot more image data than the older iPhone 8.  The viewfinder in the Lightroom camera is a video feed provided by the iOS platform, and iOS does its own processing for the video meaning it will look "normal" while Raw images require processing.

After you capture a Raw image, you can then open it in Lightroom Edit view and tap 'Auto' or apply your own edits/presets.

Another thing I recommend: capture using HDR mode.  This delivers images that are processed and may meet your expectations more often.  If you enable HDR, you might also want to enable "Save Unprocessed Original" that is in the camera options (see the 'gear' menu).  This will save both the HDR processed image, and also another Raw DNG image that is just the basic DNG (this is the middle image of the 3 bracket images LR Camera captures to make the HDR image).

I hope this helps you in some way!
