Turn off Lightroom mobile and desktop syncing

Hey! I use Lightroom on my desktop and I have the mobile app. When I'm done uploading and editing my pictures on my desktop, I try and post them to my smugmug but it says I have to wait for my phone and my desktop to sync. It takes forever to do that! I almost just want to delete my mobile app but I am afraid it will delete all my photos on my desktop too. Is there a way that I can turn off them having to sync to each other so I can get my photos to smugmug faster?
