Hi @conradmb and @julianr62546709, thanks for reaching out! Since the change location is not an option, let’s have you try resetting your Lightroom Preferences: https://adobe.ly/4o7JADQ. If you continue to see this behavior, can you send your system information, a screen recording of the issue, and a numbered list of the exact steps needed to replicate it? You can find your system info by going to Help > System Info, copying and pasting it into a text file, and attaching it here. Thanks! ^CH

I reset the preferences per your instructions above. No change. I updated to 9.3.2 with no change. In the cache section of the preferences menu you can select “Store a copy of all originals.” But the storage location for originals section is greyed out without any option to change it. Attached is a copy of my system info. Note that this issue is also present with my Dell XPS laptop. And others have reported it as well.

    Hi @conradmb,

Thanks for testing both the preference reset and 9.3.2 update, and for sharing the additional information.

I’m currently able to change this setting on my Mac, so I’d like to gather a bit more information to help investigate what may be different in the Windows workflow.

Could you & @julianr62546709 please share a short screen recording showing:

    • Opening Lightroom Preferences
    • Navigating to Cache
    • The greyed-out original location field
    • Any clicks/interactions that show there is no option to change it

That will help us compare the behavior against working systems and provide the product team with a clear reproduction example.

Thanks again for helping document this.

    Best,
    Anshul Saini

What happens when you try to change the location for the originals?

There is no option to change it.  The current default c: drive location is greyed out - no browse button; nothing happens if I click teh location - nada
