Unable to close Lightroom Desktop app, have to force quit every time

I've been having a problem with Lightroom, not the classic one. It fails to close when I want it to. I have to force quit. Am I doing anything wrong or is anyone haveing the same problem.

Sorry that you cannot close Lightroom Desktop app on your computer. 

 

Which exact version of Lightroom Desktop app are you using and what is your operating system?

 

Are you getting any error message or does the app freezes when you attempt to close it? Have you tried restarting your computer and see if that helps?
