unable to export album to desktop

I have always been able to export an album to desktop. It was an option that automatically generated. Tonight after editing an album a message popped up saying that AI needed to update photos before export. I then attempted to export but it only offered Lightroom storage. How do I recover desktop option?

      What troubleshooting steps have you tried already? Do you know if this happens with a specific set of images in a specific album?

      Please share more details about your workflow and the system info from Lightroom. Go to Help > System info, copy and paste it into a text document, then upload and attach it here along with a few screenshots or a short video. Right now, the information I have is too limited to help you.
