Unable to export in JPG in Lightroom. Only original

Lightroom will not let me export an image after editing if i chose any option other than "export original". If I export it that way then i get the original picture without any of the edits i made. If i try and export it anyway, it gives me an error message, "the file appears to be unsuported or damaged.", 

I hope someone is familiar with this issue.
