Unable to import from Camera in Lightroom Desktop 3.4 on macOS 10.15.7

Hello, I'm on OS Catalina 10.15.7 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom versino 3.4 and cannot get my photos to import directly from my camera. The + does recognize my camera but then says no photos found. I've tried making sure that LR has all disk access, etc and can't get them to import.
 
Can you please help?

Hi there,

Sorry that you cannot import images directly from your camera into Lightroom Desktop 3.4 running on your Mac (macOS 10.15.7).

What is the make and model of your camera? Did the problem started after you upgraded to macOS 10.15.7?

Does the import work if you try the steps below?

Unplug the camera and plug it back.
Restart Lightroom.
Use browser to import photos from the camera.

If it does not helps, reset the Lightroom desktop preferences: While holding down [Opt]/Alt]+[Shift] launch Lightroom Desktop. Overwrite the preferences when prompted.
