Unable to import photos from my camera

Hi,

I recently ran into an issue where Lightroom recognizes my camera (Nikon D850) but does not show photos for import. I downloaded Lightroom classic and they are able to be found there, but I'm a novice and would like to stick with Lr. Thanks.

Nope. No change to how nice always don't it. I guess my next step is a card reader if I can't figure this out. I guess my concern is that LR might not see those either.

I'd try a card reader.

Personally, I never had any issues with my D850 while connecting direct. I changed my PC just recently, and I could check again to make sure it still works on my end, and the issue seems to be your USB connection.
(not possible to confirm today, though)

I ordered one but I can't understand why it all of a sudden stopped working one day. Could it be a camera setting? I tried on my work Mac and it still doesn't work. Lightroom classic sees them though. Weird.

Any changes in how you connect to your camera?

How about using a card reader?
