Unable to import photos to lightroom. "Unable to create directory..."

Please help!!

I have been trying to import my photos to LR and I keep getting this message. I've checked the permissions of the files and external drives. I've restarted Lightroom. I've repaired my disks. I'm out of ideas. Please if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

im on a Mac Os. I haven't updated to the recent Big Sur.

Are you using MacOS Catalina? Catalina also has extra security settings, so you must give Lightroom permission to access certain folders. This screenshot shows Lightroom Classic, but Lightroom needs permissions too.
