It used to, now it doesn't. Camera is in PTP mode. Doesn't show up in the import prompt on Lightroom CC for Mac, latest version.

I recently had the same problem (except using Lightroom Classic). All of a sudden my Sony A7R V did not want to connect to Lightroom Classic on my Mac using USB. It also did not want to connect to my iPad, suggesting this was a camera problem, not a Mac problem or a Lightroom problem. I found that they way to solve this was very odd indeed, but it did work: turn off the camera, remove its battery for a few minutes and try again.

Your original post mentioned Tether and was moved to Lightroom Classic.

Since we can't tell which forum is correct can you please go to Help>System Info… and provide us with your software's installed version number.

I can't edit titles or close this, but this was supposed to refer to importing via usb cable. Creating a new ticket.

Latest everything (camera firmware, Lightroom, MacOS), correct cable. Plugging in used to allow direct import into Lightroom, now the camera does not show up.
