Unable to open Lightroom again

Hi,

After a synchro error solved, Lightroom stopped working on my computer. Windows has been updated and Lightroom desinstalled and reinstalled again. Lightroom web is accessible, but Lightroom on my computer cannot be opened. What can be done next? Thanks

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. 

Which version of Lightroom and Windows are you using? What was the synchronization error, and how was it resolved? 

What happens when you try to open the application? Do you see any error messages, or it's just a splash screen that displays and closes? 

Please sign out from the Creative Cloud desktop app and sign back in.

If that doesn't help, try resetting Lightroom preferences. 

1. Quit Lightroom Classic/ CC.
2. Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
3. While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic/ CC. The following dialog box appears: Reset Lightroom Classic/ CC Preferences.
4. Click Yes.

 

Note: Please back up your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Hi Ranjisha and thanks for your support.

I have tried to solve the problem following your instructions, but I still have the same issue.
The version of Windows I am using is 21H2: 10.0 family built 19044 and Lightroom CC Version 5.5.
When starting LR, the screen enclosed appears and stays for ever.
The synchro error was due to uploading a photo from my cell phone into the Adobe creative cloud. It was solved by deleting this photo from the synchro on the cloud.
