unable to sync lightroom mobile (android)

I am completly unable to load any photos to lightroom, either manually, or automaticlly.  I had this issue a month or so ago, but I was able to see the imported photos on the web app.  This time I cannot.  The last time that this happened, I spent half a day reinstalling and putting my settings back.  I don't want to have to reinstall an app every month, espcially one that I paid for.
