Unable to view photos on iPhone 12

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I recently upgraded to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.  The Lightroom app shows the photos are "synced" but there is just a black screen silhouette for each photo.  Additionally if I add photos from the phone, they do not show up on the computer. I have attached a screenshot of what I see in a photo album.   How can I correct this so I can successfully view photos from my phone and sync photos from the phone to the Lightroom app on my PC.
