Unspecified Lightroom Performance issue

DUDES!!!!!!  There are WAY too many bugs in Lightroom CC at the moment, that I’m actively looking for alternatives.  For example, I do two or more AI heals, and it simply locks the app, nothing works beyond that point, and I must terminate the app using task manager on Windows 10 and 11 both.  Also, several times now, I have tried to remove a flailing braw strap, and have been told by your AI system “read the guidelines before using this feature” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME????????  You are censoring my work???  This has happened several times now, with image content that is nude, or erotic, so I suspect that you’re literally censoring your users!  Can you imagine this being shouted to the media??  Well… keep doing this, and it will be, as I am frustrated beyond my limits by this, and the bugs!

I’ve seen many bugs like this keep happening, and not to mention the slowness!!!  I keeps getting slower, not faster, as you update the app.

I’d close to being done subscribing for this service, and will continue to actively seek alternatives to avoid a fucking heart attach!

Regards,
Michael Mondry

Hi Michael, sorry to hear you’re running into issues.

I won’t comment on the AI guidelines… it’s a brave new world for all of these companies and everyone’s still figuring it out. In case you haven’t seen them, these are the guidelines that are referenced. https://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms/adobe-gen-ai-user-guidelines.html

However, issues with the AI heals and slowness, we may be able to help. Issues like that are often due to an underpowered GPU or outdated graphics driver. These troubleshooting steps would be a great place to start: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/desktop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

If they don’t solve the issues you’re seeing, please go to Help menu > System Info and paste the contents here so staff can take a closer look.

This happens on both my computers, a PC with Windows 10, and a fresh new laptop with Windows 11.  For example, it will often happen, on both computers, that I begin an AI heal, and after marking the zone, the “apply” button never appears in the panel, and I cannot exit the app other than to kill the task.  Another bug I often encounter; I press “C” to begin re-cropping the frame, and all of a sudden, I see the image of another photo!  When I press “C” again to stop the cropping, the originally selected image is back.  Again, this happens on both computers.  These two bugs are extremely hard to work with, since I must kill the app 20 times in order to process 100 images.

That does sound really frustrating. When you bought the new laptop, did you log into Lightroom and download the cloud contents, or did a migration tool migrate all of the data from your other computer?

And do you leave Windows update to update your graphics drivers, or have you followed the instructions to manually update the GPU driver? It still sounds a lot like a GPU bug, so the system info from both computers would still be helpful.
