Upload / Migration of files from alternative storage solution to Creative Cloud

I have approximately 160GB of images that I want to migrate from current storage to Creative Cloud, these are currently sorted into a folder structure the looks something like this: parent folder > year > event > JPEG Folder & RAW Folder.

none of the images are currently stored on my laptop, instead they are backed up to a NAS, OneDrive and external SSD. I'd like to not have to copy and paste them bit by bit into the shared creative cloud folder on my laptop. is there any way for me to directly upload from one of the mentioned storage locations, even through a web interface that avoids the need to manually recreate all the folders and drop in the images?

    Hello there.

Well, if you have your sharing activated on Creative Cloud, once uploaded your files on the cloud they will be automatically synced with your local folder.

But you could change the default Synced Folder with another one you have on SSD or External Archive.

This can be done as shown here: Use the Creative Cloud desktop app to manage your apps and services

    Hope I got the request.

Be aware that the Adobe cloud disk storage is NOT the same as storing the images in Lightroom CC in the cloud. They are unrelated and you cannot see the Lightroom CC ecosystem images on your creative cloud disk and vice versa. The way to get the images into Lightroom CC always has to go through local storage before the images go into the cloud. You hit the +, select your images and they will get copied over to your local hard disk and then uploaded to the CC cloud over time. When uploaded they will get deleted from your local hard disk.

Yep, now having to go through every folder and one by one re add them, colossal pain in the ass.

Quite surprised at the lack of options from Adobe on this one. They use the same storage allocation, why not let drag and drop of entire dorectoried then use a little bit of machine learning to map out the new file location.

Also, I now have duplicates of all my images, the smart previewsp that I created with classic cc and the originals. I don't want to delete the smart previtas they hold all the edits and lightroom doesn't seem to be able to match them even though the file new and metadata is identical...

I’ve ran into the same problem. It is supposed to be smart enough to

realize that the smart preview synced from classic and the newly imported

raw into CC are the same file but in practice this doesn’t work right most

of the time so you end up with duplicates. Very annoying. No clue why this

is so hard to get right.

I should have clarified, I'm now using lightroom CC, so importing them to the software is a secondary issue, as there's no obvious way to do this .
