Uploaded photos wont sync

Sync errors keep happening with Lightroom CC on my devices. My mobile devices read "pending" below cloud sync which I cannot figure out how to fix. Meanwhile, on my Mac when I click "view" next to "photos syncing", no photos appear. What causes problems with uploading and syncing and how do I find them to clear the syncing issue? Also, how do I keep this from happening again?
