Variables in Custom Name when exporting?

Hi,

We're looking at shifting at least partially from LrC to Lightroom. Looking at the naming options for exporting, it looks very cut down in Lightroom compared to LrC. I tried to use variables in the Custom Name field but they came out verbatim, not as variable results. I tried this syntax:

• myname - {Filename}

Is it really so that we can't use any variables in this Custom Name? Or am I missing something, is there another way of doing this?
