Hi all,

it seems to me that Lightroom 6.1 on my macbook air m1 and os 13 runs much slower than before.

Eveb the web version seems to permform better than the desktop one.

Is it only me?

Correct answer Ian Lyons

does it make sense?

Yes, it makes sense.

The default is 10GB and generally this should be suffucient.

BTW, if you haven't already read the guidance relating to the 'Local Storage Preferences', then I recommend that you do so. I've provide a lonk below.

Thanks for sharing the details. How many presets do you have in your Lightroom in total?

Please share a screenshot of Lightroom > Preferences > Local Storage

Try this:

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. I'll need some specific information.

What version of macOS specifically are you working with? Does Lightroom slow down at a specific tool, task or operation?

What type of images are you working on? RAW or JPEG?

Pause the sync temporarily & try working in Lightroom. At the end of the session, enable the sync to let the recent changes sync to the cloud.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

thanks, i am on mac os 13.0.1

it slows down a bit when browsing my photos, the web version is faster,

it is slow when i apply presets. I work with raw files exclusively.

pausing sync does not do the trick though
