Recently had to reinstall Windows 10 on my computer and since reinstall i cannot load new or play previously loaded videos in ANY FORMAT on Lightroom CC or Classic. if I try and load a video it tells me "file format is not supported" . Videos i previously imported show up in my catalog but when i select them it does not even give me the option to play them. i can play videos on my computer through windows. i have worked on this for hours trying other solutions from the forum including disabling my video card and deleting lightroom and using the cleaning tool and then reinstalling but nothing has worked. Any help greatly appreciated !!!

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear that the videos are not playing in Lightroom CC or Classic CC, could you try creating a new catalog in Lightroom Classic CC and import a video into it and check whether it plays or not?

Also, try installing the latest version of the QuickTime player on the computer and then relaunch Lightroom CC and let us know if it helps.

    Regards,

Thank you for your reply! I downloaded the latest quick time and tried creating a new catalog in lightroom classic CC but the same problem occurs. In lightroom classic CC when I attempt to download a video it tells me " there was a problem with the video download" and nothing is downloaded. My previous videos do not even display a preview , but instead just a squiggly line. in lightroom CC it will display a preview of previously downloaded videos but does not even show the play button when I select them and when I attempt to download a new video it does not download it and tells me " the file is unsupported" . Both programs handle pictures perfectly. Videos play perfectly on my computer if I use Windows to play them.
