Waiting for Connection on LR CC

I am trying to sync jpegs from LR Mobile to LR CC Desktop. I am getting this error that says "waiting for connection". Everything is up to date. I am using  MAC os10.14.5. This should be a simple process but it is not working. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi leeinla1,

Sorry that you're getting a error message "Waiting for connection" in while syncing images from Lightroom mobile to desktop.

Are you using Lightroom desktop or Lightroom Classic? To verify the version you're using : Choose Help > System Info.

If you're using Lightroom Classic(where this issue is mostly noticed):

Rebuild the sync data: Select the option: Classic -> Preferences -> Lightroom Sync -> Press alt/option -> Click on Rebuild Sync data
