Watermark Issues

My watermarks are consistently going to a very low opacity and in black regardless of the adjustments I make. I will set things as I need them in the watermark section of exporting, but as soon as I say "done", the watermark only barely shows up and is in black again. It seems no matter the adjustments I make it consistently reverts back. What is going on here? Is this a bug? Am I somehow making mistakes with this?
