What is happening with meaningful updates for Lightroom for iPad?

Adobe, what is going on with your Lightroom for iPad app?

Many creators use this platform to edit their work, and the Lightroom for iPad features are now well behind pretty much every other platform you support, including desktop, iOS and web based.

We are missing multiple keys features which are available on most of the other platforms, including AI Denoise, AI edits, Scene Enhance, Remove Reflections etc

It is crazy that you guys think it is acceptable to roll these features out to iOS based apps, yet can't seem to push them out to iPad, where many people solely edit their work on.

I notice your new Indigo camera app features AI Denoise, Remove Reflections and Super Res features - if they can run on an iPhone, why are they not available on iPads, particualrly the newer ones running the powerful M4 chip?

I get that things take time and not every feature may appear on every platform at the same time, however the list of missing features on iPad continues to grow quickly, with the updates we are getting are very incremental compared to the other platforms.

Are you planning on continuing tho develope this app or are you letting it die a natural death at the expense of people who subscribe mainly to use this product?

I agree with this. I've started to look into Luminar as they are bringing out their across platform version, just because LR for iPad is so far behind, I can't do the edits I want. There next to no support for Infrared photography on LR on ipad, I've raised an issue that still hasn't been resolved. I have also raised an issue regarding the new Landscape AI masking, that I was told of a way to get this to work with Profiles/Presets, but it doesn't work. No word on that either. It does seem that Adobe is abandoning those of us that want to perform all our edits on iPads. Maybe it is time to move on for me. I've been using Adobe Lightroom since it was released, and Photoshop for several years before when we had to pay an arm and a leg for the standalone versions. I've been a member of the Photographers subscription ever since it came out. Does Adobe really want to lose its long standing photographers? If not, they better look into bringing the iPad software up to date very soon.

At least can we get some of the newer features from the desktop to mobile platforms (iOS, iPadOS, Android)-

  • POINT COLOR: This module is completely missing on mobile..
  • SELECT PEOPLE: (Inside Masking) This feature is half baked as 'actions' on mobile, cannot manually create masks for specific objects, other than- select subject, select background and select sky..

Hi Alex,

We understand your confusion & sentiments regarding features missing on iPad. Teams have been busy with other prioritized work and working hard to bring iPad up to the speed on some features that are missing on it. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thank you for your reply.

It would be great to see some meaningful updates ASAP considering so many creatives are using this platform as part of their workflow.
