Why are VSCO colors better and more faithful?

I did a test using the same base photo, but in two photos, I only increased the brightness – one in Lightroom and the other in VSCO. Notice that the photo that kept the colors vibrant and beautiful was the one edited with VSCO. Remember, I only increased the brightness, and no other adjustments were made. 

The blue remained blue in VSCO and Lightroom, but in Lightroom, it turned into some kind of purple.
